Xbox 360 Homebrew Games

Xbox 360 homebrew games are something that most 360 owners have never even heard of. A homebrew game is a game that’s been developed outside of the normal realms of development, and as such is available as a free download. If you’d like to know where to get homebrew games, check out the rest of this article.

There are a few simple things you will need in order to get some xbox 360 homebrew games-

1-You’ll need a computer to download the games too. As you may already know, when you take your 360 online the main objective is gaming, and so it’s not possible to direct it to any of the places necessary to find the homebrew stuff. It’s not even possible to download the games directly to the 360.

2-You’ll need as fast an internet connection as possible. While most Xbox 360 homebrew games aren’t as large as the regular games that come on DVD, they are still most likely going to be a fair size, and if you have a fast internet connection you will be spared the days or weeks sometimes necessary to download.

3-The last part, and most often the hardest to find, is somewhere to download the games from. If you perform a simple Google search for “Xbox 360 homebrew games”, you’ll be inundated with results, and if you click on a few of them you’re going to find yourself under attack by a mass of spam and popup advertising. Sites like that get paid for you to look at their advertising, so it’s pretty tough to find a site you can trust which honestly offers what you are looking for.

The most obvious place people begin their search for xbox 360 homebrew games is the Peer to Peer (P2P) sites, also known as torrent sites. Sites like these are where just about every download criminal hangs out, not to mention all the hackers and spammers there. It’s best to avoid these sites for two reasons-1 Downloading stuff from them is against the law. The sites are breaking the law, simple as that. 2- All the hackers etc are only there because they create fake files for people to download and get spread around, because they infect them with viruses. It’s pretty unsafe to download anything from a site like this.

Over the last year or so however, a realistic alternative has emerged for anyone looking to download xbox 360 homebrew games. These sites are starting to emerging more and more, and they offer all kinds of downloads, everything from homebrew stuff to movies and they also usually have a great selection of regular games which you can download for free.

The only slight catch with sites like this is that there is a charge-it’s usually something like $40-$50, and once you pay it you get to download as much as you like. There are no download limits, and they are usually very fast. If you don’t the idea of paying, think of it this way-would you rather spend your next $50 on one game in a store, or spend $50 and get every single 360 game ever released, not to mention movies and homebrew stuff?

I’m hoping you’ve found some value in this article. Finding xbox 360 homebrew games can be a real task. Check out the links below for some of the best sites.

Xbox 360 Problems - The Most Common Cause

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is a great piece of gear, there is no doubt about that. The amount of computing power housed in that little box is more than what your average personal computer had not so long ago and of course this can be seen in the quality of the graphics and the complexity of the game play. All of this computing power does have a by-product though and unfortunately this can have an adverse affect on machines.

The by-product that I am talking about is heat, and it is the enemy of these gaming consoles. Whether it be put down to a design fault or the placement of the machine when in use, they have trouble in effectively dissipating the built up heat which can have a detrimental affect on the hardware. Often the dreaded ‘red ring of death’ is caused by heat build up, sometimes even after a short gaming session.

The ‘dreaded red ring of death’ is when the lights on the front of the console, which are normally green, turn to red. The number of red lights showing can give you an indication as to the nature of the problem and possible causes. The best situation to have is all four segments of the light showing red as this indicates a disconnected AV cable. Turning the power off and reconnecting the AV cable is all that is needed to solve that one.

Having three or one red light showing is what you don’t want as this indicates a hardware failure, which is quite often attributed to a build up of heat that has affected the internal components such as the motherboard. It is quite possible that switching the unit off and letting it cool down for a reasonable period of time may return it back to normal, however this is not always the case and often further inspection and repairs are needed.

If your machine is out of warranty, and given that the original warranty only covered the first ninety days, there is a good chance that you will be able to repair it yourself with the right information. There is no need to send the console off for repair and wait weeks for it to return and pay through the nose for something that should not have happened in the first place. The frustration of having the machine play up in the first place is only compounded when you are forced to wait weeks for your console to be returned and as documented throughout the net there is no guarantee that it will be one hundred percent when it comes back anyway!

Some Of The Reasons Why The Xbox Has Stayed So Popular Over The Years

The first Xbox was released in 2001 and ever since everyone has been on an Xbox gaming binge. So everyone that has an Xbox wants an Xbox 360 and everyone that has a PS2 wants a PS3. Well soon enough did the Xbox 360 come out and the right after the 360 came out the PS3 came out. It is always going to be that way because play station is ahead of Microsoft by a few years but that is only because Microsoft builds and sells software for computers. They are ahead by a lot if you ask me.

The Xbox is a computer itself even though many people do not know that. You can take your Xbox apart and work on it yourself if you know what you are doing. Like me and my friend took apart his Xbox and put a mod chip in it and then he could do all kinds of things with his Xbox. That is why the Xbox 360 already comes like a modded Xbox because that is the way everyone wanted their systems to be. They want them to where you can download a mass amount of songs and info.  Even though you cannot play Xbox live on a regular Xbox that has been modded you can still whoop up on your friends that come over and play.

Even though at first people were not impressed by Microsoft’s games and its systems.  Soon after they had heard what was going on they produced some of the most killer games ever released on a gaming system. Some of those games would be Transworld surf, tony hawk, need for speed underground 2, all of the rainbow 6s, all of the call of duties and all of the ghost recons. All of those games were like games of year for a few years. Like the first Halo that came out for only Xbox was game of the year. So you can not tell me that Xbox isn’t a good system.

In 2002 Microsoft made a thing for Xbox called Xbox live. That is a server or servers in which you can get online and play Xbox online with a bunch of people and you could say whatever you wanted to say because you were online and nobody knew who you were. Today everyone is playing on Xbox live for 360 like for Halo 3 and for gears of war and games like that. You will never see someone playing Xbox 360 online playing golf. People want to shoot and kill they want to have fun while playing video games.

Even though the Xbox was cool the Xbox 360 would soon own and everyone would soon hate the PS3. I think the PS3 is the worst system that play station has ever come out with. Who makes a system that cannot play regular DVDs? I mean come on at least make it play both regular DVDs and blue ray disk. That is not cool at all when I first heard that the play station couldn’t play regular DVDs I went nuts.

Setting Up PSP Internet Is Easier Than You Think!

The PSP is more than a gaming platform. It has WiFi connectivity, and that means that setting up PSP Internet is possible, just like on any computer. The WiFi feature is intended primarily to be used for upgrading software and for downloading games. But you can go several steps further than that, and it isn’t difficult to do either.

You need to have access to an Internet connection first and foremost. This can either be at home where you really need a wireless router, or use you can try accessing a public WiFi hotspot like your local Starbucks or wherever.

The most common home set up is an Ethernet cable running from the computer to the DSL or cable modem, which in turn is connected to the telephone line. By installing a wireless router between the computer and the DSL or cable modem, you should be able to connect your PSP to the Internet too.

Of course, setting up PSP Internet isn’t just as easy as that! And if you don’t have a home Internet connection of any kind, then you’ll have to find a WiFi access point that will allow you to connect. This should be reasonably easy in most medium to big cities. But if you live in a small one-horse town way back in the sticks, then maybe, maybe not.

The PSP also needs WiFi access that is the 802.121b wireless networking protocol.

Hmmm… I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, that’s it! Way too technical for me! But hold on, it isn’t.

This protocol is, thankfully, the world’s most popular one. So the chances are excellent that if you find a suitable public WiFi access point, it will be the good old 802.121b wireless networking protocol.

Most people find problems when they come to the more technical bits. Finding the Network Settings, choosing a New Connection, making sure it’s Infrastructure Mode - it’s all too much for many who try it. Then there’s the WLAN Settings to access, a scan to implement for an SSID of any access points nearby, hoping it’s not using WEP encryption!

Time to think again…

This isn’t rocket science, though some may think it is.

You need, in this order:

1. To have some kind of a proven Internet connection.

2. Select the Infrastructure Mode in Network Settings and start a New Connection.

3. Access the WLAN Settings and initiate a scan to search for suitable access points.

4. Select a suitable access point that is not encrypted.

5. Test the Connection and enjoy!

But if all that seems to difficult, there’s a much, much easier way!

I’m obsessed with Burnout Paradise!

Yes it’s sad, I know. I’m utterly obsessed with Burnout Paradise. Why, you ask? It must be because it’s a kick ass game that is non-stop fun. I spent almost 2 hours tonight just driving around Paradise City finding billboards and roadblocks to smash. I also beat a bunch of Road Rage and Stunt Run events. Once again, I must say, that I love the map. It’s the best thing that Criterion could have added to the game. Even when you aren’t really playing you can just drive around and find stuff.

Since I love this game so much here are a few videos that I found. This should be a good compliment to the tons of forum and blog posts I’ve made about this game over the past few weeks. Have a look and enjoy as much as I did :)
